The Cinque Terre National Park is an area where sea and land merge to form a unique and evocative landscape. Eighteen miles of rocky coastline full of bays and beaches topped by a chain of mountains that run parallel to the shoreline. Terraced vineyards and olive trees, whose containment is assured by ancient stone walls.
A natural heritage of great variety. Walking paths and trails with breath taking views. The five villages are: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore, which over look the sea. An environment in which the hard work of generations has transformed an inaccessible area in a landscape of extraordinary beauty. A protected Marine and National Park area to preserve its absolute uniqueness. The Cinque Terre, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997.
The Consortium Maritime “5 Terre Gulf of the Poets” offers the possibility of sightseeing by boat along the most beautiful bays of the Riviera Ligure. In summer it is scheduled to leave from Forte dei Marmi for the 5 Terre and other places along the coast such as Levanto, Bonassola, Deiva Marina, Moneglia, Portofino.
